The Reference entity can be accessed from the Candidate record or the Admin section.
Candidate Record
Contacts > Contact Record > Related tab > References Received
From the References Received tab, click + New Reference
This will open up a Quick Create: Reference side window within Mercury.
NOTES:
- By toggling the Company Known to Database field to Yes, you will see a lookup containing a list of existing Clients in your Mercury database.
- By toggling the field to No, you will see a free text field where you can freely type in the name of the required Client.
Complete the required fields and click Save and Close.
Admin Section
Sitemap > Admin > References
Once in the References section, click +New in the ribbon
This will display the New Reference form to populate with the reference details.
NOTES:

Complete the required fields and click Save and Close.
Edit an Existing Reference
Select the tick-box next to the Contact name and then click Edit
