What
Within temporary or contracted recruitment, it is possible that the candidate may be offered a permanent position. It is essential to be able to run a conversion quickly and easily within Mercury and to be able to see the history between the original placement the the new permanent one. This can all be processed efficiently from within the Placement record.
Where
Home > Placement > select your View > select placement record > select the Convert to Placement button on the top ribbon > select OK.
How
Once selecting the Convert to Placement button, the following message will appear. Select OK to continue:
Followed by the message below:
When clicking onto the Converted Placement job title, the hyperlink will take you to the newly created permanent placement. It will highlight any required fields, as normal:
Complete the Permanent Terms section that contains the financials and any other fields that are required as part of your business process.
Run Validation and Finalise as normal.
Viewing the Original Placement from the Permanent Placement
Simply navigate to the Admin & Activities tab and view the Parent Placement field.
