Within the Applicants menu, an Applicant record contains information across other areas (Candidates, Tags, Hotlists, Shortlists, etc.) that can be updated without having to leave the Applicant record.

How

To view a Candidate in the context of an Applicant to a specific Vacancy, go by Applicants > Double click into any empty/blank row space (i.e. avoid the labels/hyperlinks) of a row.

NOTE: Below is an example of where to click to open the Applicant record. The mouse is not over a hyperlink:

Applicant Record

1. An Applicant record header will be made up of two pieces of information: The name of the Applicant and the role they have applied to (the Vacancy).

2. The record type (Applicant) is also on the record, so it is not mistaken for a Candidate record, for example.

General subsection

Candidate, Vacancy, Status, and Owner are required fields. All fields within this subsection are editable, all are text look-up fields aside from Status, which is a dropdown menu. 

 

 

Current CV subsection 

If the Applicant's CV has been parsed through Daxtra or TextKernel, it will be shown within this area allowing users to overview the document.

 

 

Tags subsection

Existing tags can be created/assigned/edited from the Tags menu. This will allow users to group Candidates with key phrases that can be searched anywhere within Mercury.
 

 

 

Candidate Timeline subsection

Within the form, users can log any Tasks, Appointments, Phone Calls, etc. The Timeline will contain a useful summary of what actions have been taken so far and what is outstanding/overdue. 

 

 

Hotlist subsection

View and edit which Hotlists a Applicant has been added to. Additionally, add or remove Candidates from any Existing Hotlist or create a new one by clicking:

 (kebab menu) > Add Existing Hotlist > either Look for records or +New Record.



 

 

Shortlists subsection

View and edit which other vacancies the current Applicant has been shortlisted to. Additionally:

1. Add the Applicant to an existing Vacancy Shortlist (as a Candidate):

 

2. Progress the Applicant within an existing Vacancy Shortlist (as a Candidate):


 
 

 

Applications subsection

View and edit which other vacancies the current Applicant has applied to.  Additionally, Flag Applicant(s) for these other Vacancy Applications. More than one Vacancy can be selected at one time.

NOTE: This does not progress an Applicant through the Vacancy/job application (e.g. Interview, Offer Made, Rejection, etc.). This must be done through the Shortlists subsection, in the context of the individual as a Candidate. For more information see Understanding Shortlist statuses.

 

 

Candidate Summary subsection

Extra information can be added against an Applicant which can be utilised in future searches. These fields sync with the same fields in the Mercury Contact form (i.e. the user's Candidate profile).
