What
The purpose of this article is to explain to the user how to parse a Candidate's CV effectively. To do this, your business will be assigned a Daxtra Administrator who will be trained on how to efficiently use the Daxtra Capture instance.
NOTES:
- If a Candidate is deactivated in Mercury, and then a user parses through a CV via Daxtra Capture for that same Candidate, it will reactivate the Candidate.
- If the Candidate already exists in the system, the CV for that existing Candidate record will be updated with the one you've just parsed.
- Allow up to 15 minutes for the CV to be loaded into Mercury. If it takes any longer, the CV may need to be validated in Candidate Capture by your Administrator.

How
CV parsing is a term used to describe the process of converting unstructured CVs from formats such as PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel and raw Text files into XML or JSON data. This process is naturally a conversion that inserts these documents into another application, and in this case Mercury.
Daxtra can parse different kinds of information from a CV such as contact details, experience, and achievements. This can also be detailed to Job title, Location of previous positions, and Qualifications.
Your business will be assigned an email address with the following format:
1. The CV email address is where consultants can send an email with a CV attached. This is where Daxtra will communicate with the email, it will recognize a CV is attached, parse the information and inserts this into the CRM within 2-15 minutes. To be created in Mercury, Daxtra will need at least 4 forms of contact details - First Name, Last Name, Address and Telephone Number.
NOTE: Use the subject line to link to vacancies, sources, etc.
2. Back in Mercury, the Candidate should have appeared. See below:
3. Navigate to the Documents tab to also see the CV:
