Are you ready to experience the power of the latest Mercury update?
In this blog, I’ll dive into three key enhancements that promise to make your Mercury experience better than before.
1. Enhanced Forms and Views for Improved Data Interaction
Navigating through data in Mercury is now easier than ever. With the introduction of new Forms and Views for Clients, Contacts, Vacancies and Placements, you can take action directly from the screen you’re working on, minimising the need to toggle between different screens, saving you time and reducing the potential for errors.
The new Views offer a consistent look and feel, making it simpler to identify important information at a glance. We’ve also added colour-coding to Status reasons, so you can quickly see the Status of Vacancies and Candidates.
Let us know what you think of the new Forms and Views and tell us what you would like to see in the future.
2. Enhanced Commission Splits for Simpler Compensation Management
Mercury v30 takes the headache out of managing Commission Splits. Previously, you were limited to adding up to a maximum of 4 Commission Splits, but now you can create an unlimited number of Splits on Fees, Vacancies and Placements. This change allows for more flexibility in handling complex compensation structures.
People who have the Mercury - Commission Administrator security role can give users permission to create Commission roles across the platform, and any changes to Commissions, such as Currency adjustments, will automatically update across the relevant fields.
While existing Commission Splits will continue to function, Mercury recommends transitioning to this new process to leverage all available features. You can find out more in this Knowledge Article.
3. Improved Contact Tracking and Activity Descriptions for Enhanced Engagement
Version 30 brings smarter Contact management with the introduction of the Last Sales Email feature. This takes into account Mailshots, and updates the relevant areas within Mercury, such as Last Sales Email Candidate/Client and Last Emailed by/Contacted by. It's important to note that a Sales Email to a Client Contact will not update the Last Contacted date on the parent Client, ensuring more accurate record-keeping.
In addition, the Last Contacted field is now updated automatically from an Info record, and Left Voicemail no longer updates the Last Contacted field on Client and Contact, offering a more precise communication log.
To further support Recruiters, Mercury has added the ability to include Descriptions in Activity Purposes, providing guidance on the information required for Phone Calls, Tasks and Update activities. These descriptions cascade to the relevant activity when selected, fostering consistency and clarity.
Upcoming Features and Final Thoughts
Looking ahead, Mercury plans to integrate Analytics reports from Mercury Analytics into the Core Mercury platform for more contextual reporting, and allow for On-Demand CV Parsing with the Daxtra integration.
We are also pleased to be able to offer Microsoft licensing, consolidating Suppliers and ensuring best value for our Customers.
As Version 30 rolls out, users are invited to explore these enhancements and provide feedback. Mercury is committed to continuous improvement and eagerly anticipates the forthcoming v31 release.
If you have questions or need further information, your Mercury Customer Success Manager (CSM) is ready to assist.
The future looks bright for Mercury users, with v30 marking a significant step towards a more effective and intuitive User Experience. Get ready to work smarter, not harder, with these latest enhancements, and keep an eye out for more updates soon!
