Timesheet Enhancements
This release, we have focused on improving the Timesheets area of Mercury. These enhancements will have a transformative impact across operational efficiency, compliance, candidate experience, and client satisfaction.
These enhancements will make Timesheets easier to manage and give you more functionality and flexibility, especially for those of you who manage non-UK Timesheets. These updates reduce administrative delays, improve financial visibility and lay the groundwork for an improved Candidate Portal experience in future releases.
Key Enhancements
- Editable Timesheet Lines (93438) – Admins can now edit candidate timesheets directly, removing the need for candidates to resubmit, cutting administrative delays.
- Forecast & Actuals Visibility (94541–94608, 97053) – New fields for Pay, Charge, Margin, and Markup (both forecasted and actual), including currency tracking for better planning and reporting.
- Automatic Working Days Calculation (94542) – Calculates working days for forecasting accuracy without the need for manual intervention.
- New Timesheet Chart (98173) – Simple to view comparison of Forecast vs Actual margin month-by-month giving you invaluable business insight.

Spec Sends
Spec Sends can be crucial, especially in a candidate rich market or for contractor recruiting businesses. The speed and quality of how you present candidates can make the difference between securing a placement or missing out.
In this release we have given you more flexibility around how you use Spec Sends, and particularly what you choose to do with a record that you create as part of a Spec Send. As a result you are now able to choose to convert it to either an Info or Vacancy record right away. This will reduce the amount of manual administration and get you making placements faster.
Key Enhancements
- Convert a spec send into either an Info or Vacancy Record (85694 and 97901) – automatically create an Info or Vacancy record using data you’ve added to the Spec Send, reducing your admin and saving you time.
- Automatically create a Shortlist if Vacancy created (97902) – having a Shortlist built instantly when converting means you can get your Candidates in front of Hiring Managers faster, boosting your chances of success.

Work Contacts visible for Candidates
Reaching candidates quickly can be the difference between placing them in the perfect role or having to start your search again. Any delay risks them missing out and you losing valuable time.
With v35, you can now configure Mercury to display candidates’ work contact details (phone and email), giving you more ways to connect, faster response times, and a greater chance of securing the placement before your competitors.
