We generally do not recommend making amendments to an Agreement once it has been used and linked to a Placement, particularly in the case where it has been linked to multiple Placements.

When a Compliance Evidence record changes status, it is cascaded to all Compliance Status records attached to Active Placements where the status matches the nature of the compliance criterion:
•    For Onboarding, Placements at or before Awaiting Start
•    For Offboarding, placements at or before Awaiting Offboarding
•    For other compliance, placements at or before Ending Soon

Onboarding only matters as a 'gate' to verify that a Placement is OK to start. Once the Placement has started, there is no benefit in changing onboarding compliance statuses, and they are better preserved to confirm that they were correct when the Placement goes Live.
Similarly, once a placement has finished there is no point changing its compliance, and once Offboarding has completed, being a progress 'gate' like Onboarding, there is no point changing Offboarding status.

Example

There are 5 compliance criterions on an Agreement. These have all been checked and the Compliance has been completed on all linked Placements. If you then need to add a sixth compliance criterion that is required for a current Placement, it will then add this to all of the completed Placements. They will then have a Compliance Score and Status of Incomplete; the Compliance would then need to Submitted/Checked again.

Updating an Agreement on a Live Placement

If a new criterion is required, go to the existing Agreement and enter a date in the Effective To field on the general tab. Once this date has expired, the Agreement can no longer be selected on any vacancies/placements. Clone the current Agreement, rename it and make the amendment(s).
